Looking forward to attending the DC Paper Show!

Last fall, the Washington DC creative community was stunned to learn that following decades of serving the art community, the Art Directors Club of Metropolitan Washington (ADCMW) was dissolving.

"So much of what ADCMW did for the region was vital to keeping our design community moving forward and inspired with industry events, networking, and student support," said past ADCMW President John Foster. "We couldn't fathom losing the education programs and some of the big events that brought everyone together.

Past board members quickly mobilized and resolved to find a way to keep this community connected and alive. The new DC Creative Guild was formed. The group has been diligently working on one of the areas most popular shows, the Paper Show, this year scheduled for March.

"We are currently making sure that the annual Paper Show is even stronger than in years past, and working with area educators on another important event, the student competition: The Real Show," said Foster, adding, "It is an exciting time and the area needs an organization that brings everyone in the creative field together on equal terms, from designers and programmers to photographers and printers."

DCCG invites those in the design community and the public to come out and show their support for DCCG and learn about the newest innovations in paper and printing at the annual Paper Show, March 5th at the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association headquarters (NRECA) at 4301 Wilson Blvd in Arlington. The show runs from 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. and more information will be posted on the DCCG Facebook page.

Paper show attendees can take advantage of signing up for a free DCCG membership while at the show.
